The 5G network has not been available in Nigeria since the NCC has not given the directive to the telecom operators in the country.
MTN and Airtel will be the first telecom operators in Nigeria to deploy the fifth-generation network technology.
Hopefully, Globacom and 9Mobile would be second to deploy the fifth-generation network.
Telecom operators in Nigeria would have been deployed 5G network technology since the last year 2020. But the government stopped because of the citizen complaints about the relationship between 5G and COVID-19.
The deployment of the 5G network will commence in January 2022 according to the NCC report.
